In Loving Memory of Dean Ray Woods
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dean Ray Woods, who peacefully left us at his home on October 28, 2024.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, November 9, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, located at 320 S Brunswick, Marshall. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM, and a repast to follow.
Dean was born on July 5, 1965, in Marshall, MO, to George and Birdie (Allen) Woods, and he spent most of his life in Marshall. His career included positions at Conagra, Marshall Habilitation Center, Zysing Swine Farms, and Marshall Livestock.
In 2013, Dean rededicated his life to Christ and became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he also participated in the men's chorus.
He leaves behind four children: Dominic Woods of Nelson, MO, Tyler Steverson (Kylie) of Bolivar, MO, Natasha Woods of Nelson, MO, and Danielle Woods of Marshall, MO. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Aiden Campbell, Aaliyah and Jordan Steverson, and Dakari and Darrius Woods; one sister, Valerie Woods; one brother, Gerald Woods; a niece; and many nephews and loved ones. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.
