Deacon Raymond Cheatum's Obituary
Deacon Raymond Cheatum, 80, of Columbia slept into the arms of Jesus at his home on Tuesday August 13, 2013. Memorial services were held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Deacon Raymond (Ray) Cheatum was born on October 13, 1932 in Mexico, Missouri to Horis and Edna Cheatum. Hewas a member of Chosen Generation Ministries for thirteen years and a deacon for eight years. Rayresided in Columbia, Missouri and is survived by three sisters; Helen Britt (Delbert) of Fulton, MO,Mae Jean Butler of Mexico, MO, and Doris Cheatum(Carl Buckner) a brother of Columbia, MO;and one brother; David Cheatum of Columbia.
He is also survived by seven children; Frances Cheatum (Ken) of Lake Ozarks, MO, Raymond Cheatum Jr. (Jessie), Debra Cheatum (Maurice) of Columbia MO, Alvino Cheatum of Jonesboro, AR, Linda Jackson, Lynette Williams (Tex) of Mexico, Raymond Jackson of Charleston, MO, andfour step children; Mary Bradford, Charles E. Lee of Columbia, MO, George Bradford (Donna) of Sedalia, MO, and Fannie Houp, of Salina, KS.
Raymond was also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Raymond was preceded death by his parents; Horis and Edna Cheatum, his special lady Helen Lewis, his son Alvino Ray Cheatum and his brothers; Frank Cheatum, Charles Cheatum, Omar Cheatum and Joseph Cheatum and two sisters; Ethel Kemp, Annie Worlrey.
