Born in Starkville, Mississippi to Frank and Betty Rinehart he lived most of his life in Fulton, Missouri. He graduated high school in the Montgomery County School District in Missouri in 1975 and then completed a year at the University of Missouri Rolla. He worked at the Fulton State Hospital for 33 years before retiring in 2007.
Dave was a strong and committed soul. Such intelligence and passion couldn’t come from a more loving man. Family always came first for Dave, with his lifelong love affair for the Cardinals a close second. He loved staying on top of current events and couldn’t wait to discuss them with whoever would listen. Dave was a man’s man; his ideal night was bowling a 600, while watching the Cards win with his friends and his Linda Lou by his side.
Dave enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, fishing, tennis, softball, crossword puzzles, Nintendo, and online gaming. He and Linda traveled frequently, visiting many parts of the US and taking a cruise to the Caribbean. He won many trophies in his over 35 years of bowling and also won the John Philip Sousa award for playing the baritone in his senior year of 1975.
Dave is survived by his wife and best friend Linda Rinehart. He was an extremely loving father, proud of his three sons: Jay French, Dan French and his wife Melissa, and Chris Rinehart and his wife Alicia. Dave found joy spending time with his grandchildren, Jayden French and Alex Rinehart. He was also survived by his mother Betty Rinehart; his two brothers Gary Rinehart and Mike Rinehart; his sister Teresa See and her husband Jay; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave was preceded in death by his father Frank Rinehart.
Dave will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.
