David Lee Jackson's Obituary
David Lee Jackson, 63, passed away at his home in Columbia, Missouri, on November 10, 2025. He was born on March 13, 1962, in Lexington, Missouri, to Roberta and Harley Jackson.

David lived a life centered on love, laughter, and loyalty. He adored his daughter, Juanita, with everything he had, and anyone who knew him knew she was the light of his life. He found joy in the simple things—fishing at daybreak, hunting with family, firing up the barbecue pit, or telling a joke just to see someone smile. A proud fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, David rarely missed a game and supported his team through every season.
David dedicated many years to Columbia Public Schools, where he served as head custodian. His impact reached far beyond his daily work. To countless students, he was a role model, mentor, and father figure—steady, dependable, and always ready with guidance or a good story. His presence in the school halls left a mark that will be felt for years to come.
David is survived by his wife, Paula Brower; his cherished daughter, Juanita Jackson; and a large, loving family including his brothers and sisters: Harley Jackson Sr., John Todd, Ben Jackson, Dwayne Moss, Richard E. Mizner, Diana Jackson, Denise Bradford, Mary Kay Glover, Regina Glover, Diane Lett, Dorlene Brown, Barbara Jackson, Stephine Moss, and Denise Moss; his uncle, Quinton Jones; nephews Shaetwyn Allen, Joshua Williams, Chauncey Jackson Jr., and Isaiah Jackson; and nieces Latoya Glover, Brandy Mizner, Candice Jones, Tosia Mizner, Kehannha Jackson, Elizabeth “Early Bird” Clark, Teagen Clark, Shannon Clark, Tanya Wright, and Denim “Blue Jeans” Allen.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Juanita Jones; parents Harley Jackson Sr., Roberta Jackson, and Kenneth Glover; nephew Chauncey Jackson Sr.; sister Stephine Moss; brother Harley Jackson Jr.; and nephews Bobby Gotow Jr. and Donivon Jones.
David leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to the people he loved. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and strength to all who knew him.
