Cynthia Taylor's Obituary
Cynthia Taylor, 75, of Boonville entered into paradise on Friday, March 21, 2014 at University of Missouri Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 29, 2014 at 11 am at Morgan Street Baptist Church in Boonville. The visitation will be held from 10-11 am at the church.
Cynthia Lorraine Taylor was born January 20, 1939 to James Lummie an Annie Bell Thomas in St. Louis, MO.
Cynthia attended Mount Zion Baptist Church in Hayti, MO at an early age. She attended Central School until the 9th grade.
In 1962 she married John Barton Taylor. She worked for Briggs and Stratton for 25 years. she attended New Covenant Baptist Church where she was in the Now Covenant Women Club. She was a member of the Teach and Sew Club as well.
She leaves behind three daughters; Sabrina (Michael) Richardson of Boonville, Avis (Gregory) Bond of Boonville, and Audrey Harris of Columbia; eight grandchildren Timothy, Jason, Tia, John, Amanda, Sigourney, Allison and Nicholas; and 18 great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister Opera T. Payne and one brother Clarence McFadden and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband John Burton Taylor, one son Lummie Thomas, two sisters Charlene Payne and Beulah Abraham, and two brothers James Thomas and Henry Thomas.
