Cynthia Delph's Obituary
Cynthia L. Delph, age 59, formerly of Sedalia, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Raytown, MO.
She was born October 12, 1950, a daughter of Jack and Helen ( Miller) Delph. Cindy attended school in Sedalia, Mo, graduating from Smith Cotton High School in 1968. She attended both SFCC and Missouri State University, Springfield, Mo, pursuing a theatre degree. She was a member of Burns Freewill Chapel in Sedalia, MO.
Cindy was employed in the medical field, until she found her niche working with people who have developmental challenges. She was employed as a Community Support Worker at Ewing Vocational Center for approximately 15 years and also worked as a house manager for one of the apartment programs.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Kisner and Jenna Sims, of the Kansas City area; five grandchildren, Joshua, Rhianna, and Sabrina Kisner, and Tatiana Brooks and Elijah Frazier. She was affectionately referred to as ‘Grandma LuLu’. She is also survived by a brother, Dennis Delph of Otterville, MO and his family.
She was preceded in death by both parents.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held at Burns Freewill Chapel on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 3:30 PM. Friends are asked to call on the family at that time. There will be no graveside service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of the Alexander-May Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO
