Cleveland Johnson's Obituary
Cleveland Johnson, 80, of Fayette, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Glasgow Gardens nursing facility. A memorial service will be held at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
Cleveland was born on November 15, 1943, in Thayer, Missouri. The son of Jesse and Ruby (Courtwright) Johnson. On September 29, 1970, he married Margeret Wright, the love of his life.
He worked many years as a farm hand on R.B. George Angus Farms. After retirement he enjoyed fishing, collecting cookbooks and going to rummage sales. When the weather was nice you could catch him cruising the town on his lawnmower.
Preceding him in death, his parents Jesse and Ruby Johnson; his wife Margeret Johnson; brothers Edward Johnson and Raymond Johnson; sisters Margaret Johnson (who passed away as a young child) and Glenda Beamen.
His survivors are daughters Alycia (John) of New Franklin, Tracey Thomas of Warsaw; son William Wright of Fayette; one brother Jesse Johnson of Pilot Grove. Grandkids Stephanie (Curt) Widner, James Ewings, Codie (Dan) Richardson, Kasi (Jerome) Dieckman, Kelsie (Samantha) Calloway and William (Meagan) Wright; 10 great grandkids and many other extended family and friends.
