Clarissa Mason's Obituary
Clarissa E. “Dolly” Mason 82, of Lees Summit, formerly of Marshall, entered into eternal rest on Saturday January 21, 2012 at John Knox Village Care Center surrounded by her friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church in Slater. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-12 Saturday at the church.
Clarissa E. Mason was born on June 1, 1929 in Gilliam, Mo. the daughter of Roger Miller and Sarah Wright Miller. She attended grade school in Gilliam and High School in Dalton, Mo. She was united in marriage to Charley Mason who preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, and the Mission Department. She was a member of the American Legion Dept. for many years. She is a member of the Gertrude Madison Chapter #105 of the O.E.S. and the the Court of Cyrenes. Clarissa was employed at the Marshall Rehabilitation Center for over 37 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Sarah Roseby of Kansas City, Mo., and Alica (Delroy) Brown of Marshall, Mo. three sons Jeff Mason(Mary) of Augusta, GA., Gary Mason of of St. Louis, Mo., and Wendell Mason of Marshall, one brother Raymond Jackson of Milton , Fl., and one foster sister Mildred Willis of Kansas City, Mo., and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Thompson and Geraldine Lunsford and one devoted sister-in-law Beatrice Huston.
