Chester Graves' Obituary
Chester Graves, 59, of Fayette was caught up into glory on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 18, 2013 at 1 pm at Faith Family Church in Fayette. Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm at the church.
Chester Eugene Graves, son of the late Wesley Bentley and Malessia Graves was born August 9, 1953 in Fayette, MO. He graduated from Fayette High School and attended college in Bemidji, MN and Columbia, MO. He was in the Army for 4 years. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Chester was a hard worker. He was employed with Anheuser-Busch, University –Missouri Hospital & Clinic, and Central Methodist College.
On Thursday, May 9, 2013, Chester passed peacefully at the Veteran’s Hospital, surrounded by his children, at the age of 59.
Cherishing his memory are his daughters Frachon Terrill of Jefferson City, MO, LaTonya Eubanks, Jaden Cowans of Fayette, MO, LaTasia Cowans of Fulton, MO, and Angelica Garcia of New Mexico. His sons are CarMichael Key of Cameron, MO, Jamaine Leonard and Shavez Eubanks of Fayette, MO.
Also cherishing his memory are his sisters Mary Ann Broadus (Leroy), Wilhelmina Graves of Fayette, MO, and Christine Smith (Raymond) of Columbia, MO. His brothers are Marvin Graves (Ruth Ann) of Macon, MO, Robert Graves (Peggy) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Renaldo Graves of Fayette, MO, Al Terrill of Columbia, MO, and Tyrone Terrill of St. Paul, MN. Also cherishing his memory is his very special friend, Jacqueline Eubanks.
He also leaves 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren to carry on his legacy; as well as a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters, Rose and Barbara, 2 brothers, Melvin Graves and Melvin Gibson, 2 sisters, Wilma Bush and Felicia Jones.
Chester, also known as Nut, Pooter, Booweva, Popcorn, will be remembered for his smile and joking around. He never knew a stranger and always made you feel welcomed.
