Chauncey Edward Jackson Jr.'s Obituary
Chauncey Jackson Jr., 74, of Marshall, MO, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the University of Missouri Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury at 1PM. Visitation will be from 12-1pm at Summerville funeral home in Sailsbury under the direction of the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home.
Chauncey Edward Jackson Jr. of Marshall, Mo , formerly of Dalton, MO was born September 4, 1947 in Dalton, MO to Chauncey and Lottie Jackson. He married Kaye Thorpe Jackson of September 13, 2014.
He graduated from Keytesville High School . Chauncey worked at the Correctional Center in Moberly and Boonville, MO. After he graduated he went into the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Powerhouse church of Marshall, MO. He loved to fish, hunt, bowl, and hunt with his bow and arrows. He loved to travel to visit his family and his friends. He loved his children and his grandchildren. He tried to help them with whatever they needed. He was very protective of them.
Chauncey was preceded in death by his parents Chauncey and Lottie Jackson, his sister Wanda Jackson Aldridge, his brother Robert Darnell Jackson, , his half brother Robert Jackson, his half sister Emma Jean Bradford, and his grandson Zadrian Harper.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Kaye Jackson of Marshall, MO, four daughters Michele Schott of Clear Water, CA, Rita Wallace of Moberly, MO, Tisha Summers of Marshall, MO, and Kayla and her husband Antwine Jackson of Columbia, Mo and stepson Wyatt Thorpe of Columbia, MO, and stepdaughter Chrysantha Smith of Kansas City, MO., his sister Peggy and brother-in-law Jay Lucas of Moberly, MO, Ricky Jackson of Aurora, CO, Darren Jackson of Aurora CO, and Diane Hughes of San Antonio, TX, and 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We will miss that smile of his and his jokes and his loud voice.
