Charles Hopkins' Obituary
Charles Hopkins, 59, of Columbia, took flight with the angels on Sunday June 8, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 14, 2014 at 1 pm at Open Bible Praise Center in Boonville. The visitation will be held from 12-1 pm Saturday at the church.
He was born in Otterville, Missouri on August 10, 1954, the son of the late John A. and Ida Hopkins. He lived with his wife, Joyce Hildreth, for 16 years.
Charles worked for the University of Missouri until his health began to fail. He enjoyed keeping up on current events, watching the news, sports, old westerns, and keeping in contact with family members.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Joyce; his mother, Ida Hopkins; two sisters, Laverne Johnson, Boonville, MO and Tamera Brown, St. Louis, MO; three nephews, Kyle, Joshua, and Justin; three nieces, Sashaphine, Victoria, and ShaDonna; two aunts, Lottie Giboney, Champaign, IL and Irene Hopkins, Sedalia, Missouri; and a host of cousins and friends.
