Chad Robert O'Keefe's Obituary
Chad Robert O'Keefe, 31, of Boonville, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Knights of Columbus in Boonville.
Chad was raised as an island boy in the Philippines but quickly adopted the Ozarks lifestyle when he moved here for school at College of the Ozarks. This is where Gin and Chad met in the clay studio and bonded over their love of clay. Their love of clay took them to Tainan National University of the arts and later to Boonville where they finally settled. They opened Boonville Clay Company together, which Gin ran, while Chad worked at Midway USA for the last 5 years. Chad was quickly dubbed the “Sheriff” for his rule following ways. He built many strong, genuine relationships with his employees, as he was dedicated to his staff, who many he called his best friends. Chad was hands down the most happy beside his best friend and wife, Gin. You could find these two floating down a river, camping, going to concerts or basically anything outside with their pups. Chad will always be remembered as a personable, warm, open-hearted mountain man (with a damn fine beard).
Chad passed Monday morning at 1:30 am after a 5 month battle with Leukemia.
Memorials can be made out to the O’Keefe Family fund.
