Carolyn Villarruel's Obituary
Carolyn Villarruel, 65, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her home. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday , May 11, 2019 at St. Matthew AME Church in Boonville at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12-1 Saturday at the church.
Carolyn Villarruel was born May 9, 1953, in Boonville, Missouri to the late Mary Emma Taylor and Raymond Martin.
She was raised by her mother and step-father Preston Eugene Williams. During her childhood she did everything so slowly she got the nickname “Grandma”.
Carolyn entered into eternal peace on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
Carolyn truly loved her family and friends. She loved making flower arrangements and other crafts, she had a booth located at “Itchy”.
Carolyn worked for the University of Missouri campus for over 20 years until her illness.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Marina Taylor and Danielle Kelly both of Columbia. Her son Preston “Lionel” Taylor (Victoria) and godson George Tetro, four granddaughters, Kadence Taylor, Katara Taylor, Madison Tetro, Alyssa Tetro two grandsons Junous Kelly and Caesar Taylor. She also leaves her sisters on her Mother’s side Evangelist Pam Taylor of Boonville, Mozelle Ballenger of Columbia and Emma Taylor of Temple, Texas, her sisters and brother on her Father’s side Louise Williams (Oscar) of Moberly, Delois Drew (Todd) of Kansas City, Donna Martin of Boonville, Phyllis Young of Grandview and George Stapleton of Columbia.
She joins her mom, dad, stepdad, sister, brothers, and granddaughter Contessa who have preceded her into eternal life.
