Carol Ann Marshall's Obituary
Carol Ann Marshall, 63, of Loxley, Al., formerly of Sedalia, Mo., was greeted by the Lord on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Foley, Al. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 1, 2014 at 1 pm at Ward Memorial Baptist Church in Sedalia. The visistation will be held from 12-1 pm at the church.
Carol A. Marshall, 63 of Sedalia was called to rest on Saturday, October 25, 2014. She was born March 1, 1951 to Mary Louise Jackson-Craig and William Henry Johnson in Sedalia. Carol graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 1969. Carol’s work history includes Lamy’s, Melita Daycare, and M.V.C.A.A. Head Start.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Wayman Marshall, December 18, 1971. During this union together they raised four children: Shontell Marshall, Gaylon (Shana) Marshall, Donald (Tiffany) Marshall and Darrell (Melanie) Marshall, seven very special nieces and nephews whom she called her “babies” Reba Jackson, Latisha Johnson, Shavon Westley, Bruce Johnson, Archie Jackson, Antonio Newbill and Lavelle Taylor Sr. all of whom she leaves to cherish her memory.
Among those also left to cherish her memory are her step-father George (Jake) Craig II; three brothers: Warren (Kim) Jackson, George Craig III, and Harold Craig; two sisters: Mildred (Kevin) Mayo, and Lolita Jackson; seventeen grandchildren; five sisters-in-law: Betty Hill, Shirley Hill, Francis Hill, Debbie Gary and Cleo Marshall; two brothers-in-law: William Hill and Calvin Marshall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Carol was a member of Ward Memorial Missionary Baptist Church where she was active as a member of the Johnson-Hardiman Missionary Society, Gospel Chorus, Central District Missionary Baptist Association Music Auxiliary.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, mother, mother-in-law, father, one brother-in-law, and her grandparents.
