Cameron Irene Harris' Obituary
Cameron Harris, 25, of Columbia, passed into eternity on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Second Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday April 26, 2013 at Russell Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Cameron was born on December 15, 1987 in Columbia MO to Rev. Shelia (Harris) Thompson and Anton Hickem. Cameron was blessed with a second father, William “Bill” Thompson, who loved & nurtured her as his own.
Cameron was baptized at Historic Second Baptist Church of Columbia MO at the age of 11. Tenacious to the core, Cameron received her GED and entered Columbia College while employed for the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics. Called to the ministry of helps, she became an employee at Boone Hospital Center & was scheduled to enter into C.N.A. courses on next month as a first step to pursuing a career in nursing.
Cameron is survived by her grand mother; Georgia Harris of Columbia, grand fathers; Ulysius Ashford of California & Alvin “Buck” Lawson of Columbia, her parents, her two loving sons; D’eshawn (Antonio Odem) Harris & Keidrick (Aleem Thompson) Harris of Columbia MO, her brothers & sisters; Bruce (Kelly) Cooper of Arkansas, Chadrick (Brittney) Harris, Maggie D’Agostino, Antonio Williams, William “Billy” Thompson Jr. & Tateonna Thompson all of Columbia & a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends who loved her….unconditionally. Cameron was preceded in death by her grandmother, Barbara Prince, an Aunt, Tina Curtis, GreatUncle William “Jack” Harris (her pick), Great Aunt Helen Parker, Great Addie Swindel, & Uncle Scott Cooper.
