Brian Nicholson's Obituary
Brian Dale Nicholson, 62, of Hughesville, Missouri, passed away on February 3, 2024.
He was born on July 25, 1961, in Sedalia, Missouri, a son of Harrell Lee and Sandra Kay (Horn) Nicholson. Brian was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle.
Brian was known for his humor, being protective of his loved ones, and his wide range of practical skills. He was always reading and learning something new. He enjoyed spending time with friends, photography, fishing, and being outdoors.
In his career, Brian pursued various paths. He was a licensed gunsmith, running his own successful business throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Later, he transitioned to become a skilled machinist and welder. Brian also worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by his niece, Stephanie (James) Geiler, whom he raised. He is also survived by his sister Candice (Kip) Brown; two other nieces, Alisha and Devin, and a nephew, Liam. Additionally, Brian leaves behind two great-nephews, Kade and Ryker, and a great-niece, River.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Eugene Nicholson.
A memorial service to celebrate Brian's life will be held at the Hughesville Community Center on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 1:30 pm.
Arrangements are in the care of H.T. May & Sons Funeral Home.
The surviving family members will deeply miss Brian. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
