Brenda Broadus' Obituary
Brenda Broadus, 79, of Columbia, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fayette at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12-1 Saturday at the church.
Brenda Lee Broadus age 79, passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, at Boone Hospital. She was sent to her eternal home after a day surrounded by her loved ones. She was born December 16, 1945, in Fayette to the late Roosevelt Robinson and Ethelene McQuitty.
In her early years, she attended Fayette High School and later married the late Archie Broadus Sr. in December of 1965. Shortly after, she began working at 3M, where she remained for thirty years until she was diagnosed with MS and retired. Brenda was known for her quick wit and the unconditional love she offered to anyone in need of a shoulder to lean on.
Brenda is survived by her two sons, Archie Jr. (Laurie) Broadus and Lance (Tammy) Broadus. She was a proud grandmother to Courtney (Deanna) Broadus, Cortez Turner-Broadus, Rashea Brown, Kyle Shepherd, Santana Hill, Trevon (Monica) Broadus, and TaNayia Broadus.
She is survived by 5 siblings: Harold (Shelia) McQuitty, Carl (Octavia) McQuitty, Ronnie (Viretta) McQuitty, Stevie McQuitty, and Sheila Grant, all of Missouri.
In addition to those named, Brenda left behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends who were greatly appreciated by her.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and five siblings: Wanda McQuitty, Tonya Robinson, Kenny Robinson, Thomas McQuitty, Leroy Broadus, and Cliffie Nevels.
