In Loving Memory of Bonnie Ivy: A Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
Bonnie Ivy, a cherished resident of New Franklin, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the tender age of 76, surrounded by her loving family at Riverdell Care Center. We invite you to join us in celebrating her remarkable life at a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Foursquare Friendship Fellowship Church in New Franklin, starting at 10:30 AM.
Born on March 9, 1948, in Eldorado Springs, MO, Bonnie Sue Stokes Ivy was the beloved daughter of Alpha Richard and Virginia Isabelle Williams Stokes. She was a dedicated employee at the Nordyne factory in Boonville, where she worked tirelessly for many years. On March 6, 1967, Bonnie married the love of her life, Vernon Ivy, and together they shared countless beautiful memories until his passing on February 16, 2009.
Bonnie was not only a loving wife, but also a talented artist. She had a knack for creating beautiful crafts, specializing in silk flower arranging, crocheting, and quilting. Her creations brought joy and beauty into the lives of those around her.
Bonnie's legacy lives on through her children: Shelia Cox (Steve) and Dana Schlotzhauer (Jim), both of New Franklin, MO, and Mike Ivy (Sharon) of Boonville, MO. She was also a beloved sister to Kenny Stokes (Jackie) of Columbia, MO. Bonnie's memory will forever be cherished by her eleven grandchildren: Jacob and Samantha Ivy, Austin and Hunter Rohlfing, Caylub Cox, Reidan, Blake, Bella, and Hope Colon, Caden and Colton Schlotzhauer and one great-grandchild Penelope Ivy, who were cherished and adored by their doting grandmother.
While we mourn the loss of Bonnie, we take solace in knowing that she has reunited with her beloved husband, parents, son Richard Ivy, and brother Jerry Stokes, who preceded her in death. Their spirits will forever watch over us, guiding us with their love and warmth.
In the hearts and minds of all who knew her, Bonnie Ivy will be remembered as a loving and compassionate woman, a talented artist, and a devoted mother and grandmother. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
