Bobby Lee Williams Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby Lee Williams Sr., 72, of Marshall entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, February 14, 2011 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 am Monday at the church.
Bobby Lee Williams Sr. was born June 21, 1938 the son of Howard and Jessie D. Williams in Blackwater, Mo. He was the third son in his family. He was surrounded by the love of his brothers Howard, Gilbert and Lavon, who have all preceded him in death.
Bobby attended C.C. Hubbard HIgh School in Sedalia and joined the US Navy in 1955. In 1963 he moved his family to Marshall, Mo. where he was a loyal employee at the Marshall Municipal Utilities for 15 years.
Bobby was also preceded in death by his second wife Helen Williams, one step-son Martin Thornton and a grandson J’Randall Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory are his first wife Covella Williams two sons Bobby L. Williams Jr. and Milton Thornton both of Denver, CO., one daughter Denise Williams of Dallas, Tx., four grandchildren Junnie Williams odf North Charleston, SC., Eve Thornton of Seattle, WA., Chauncel Smith and Chakesha Smith both of Dallas, TX., his sister-in-laws Shirley Williams of Columbia, MO., and Kolene Williams and Janis Williams both of Kansas City, Mo., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
