Bobbie Grimes' Obituary
Bobbie Grimes, 69, originally of Marshall, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday September 30, 2014 at Life Care Center in Carrollton, MO. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 4, 2014 at 2pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Marshall, MO. The visitation will be held from 12-2 pm at the church on Saturday.
Ms. Grimes was the daughter of the late Sterling Pearl Bruner and Sylvia Watson. She was born on August 26, 1945 in Marshall, MO.
She attended Marshall Public Schools. Bobbie was a member of Handy Chapel AME church in Marshall. During her life she held several jobs, but her most recent and enjoyment was being a Foster Grandparent at Marshall Public Schools for several years. Bobbie was loved by all. Her smile will be forever in a our hearts.
She was married to Claude R. Grimes Sr on August 25 1963. In this union there was three children born. She leaves to mourn Claude R Grimes Jr, and wife Kelli , Richard A. Grimes and wife DeeDee and one daughter Rachel A. Stewart all of Marshall & one step-daughter Tena Brown of Kansas City, Mo. She also leaves behind two sisters, Beverly Saunders, of Marshall, Mary Alexander of Carrollton, and one brother John A. (Sonny) Bell. She also leaves behind one sister-in-law Patricia Grimes also of Marshall. In addition to her children she leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 4 sisters.
