Bishop Thomas Eugene Sims of Sedalia, MO was called home by god on February 28, 2012.
Visitation will be March 3, 2012 from 10am until 11am. Home going Services will be Saturday March 3, 2012 at 11am at Freewill Baptist Church in Sedalia MO.
Bishop Sims was born July 27, 1939 to Lucille Petty and Marvin Eugene Sims.
E.T. was employed at the City of Sedalia for 21 years before he retired in 2009 and prior to that he worked at Coke Cola for 22 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Willene Sims of the home, his children Charles Ross(Phyllis) of Salina Ks., Eugene(Buddy) Sims of Lompoc Ca., Cassandra Sims-Butler & Lompoc Ca., Angela Sims-Gray(Micheal) of Columbia MO, LaToya Sims of Los Angeles Ca,, LaTwilla Sims-Frelot( Wayne) of Lake Charles La. And Jeanna Sims of Sedalia, Step Children: Christy Tatum Ronald Tatum and Jeffry Polk of Kansas City MO. Sisters: Nancy Sims-VanBuren, Carrie Sims-Brown, Jessie Sims, all of Sedalia MO Dale Sims-Boggs, of Columbia MO Dorothy Sims-Mitchell Kingsport Tn. Brothers: Herman Sims and Matt Sims of Sedalia MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Darla Sims, 2 brothers, Frank Williams and Marvin Sims, 2 step-children Roslyn Tatum and Curtis Tatum.
