Billye Jo Bruner, 80, of Columbia, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10-11Am Saturday at the funeral home. Billye Jo Bruner, 80, of Columbia, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Born on April 27, 1944, in Dallas, IA, she was the beloved daughter of Floyd and Icyle Roop.
Billye Jo had a passion for reading and enjoyed spending her time creating beautiful diamond art. She loved watching a good movie, but her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant the world to her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her children: Barb Boyer (Ken) of Rocheport, MO; Stephanie Cason (Scott) of Columbia, MO; Tracy Chinderle; and Larry Wagner II of Boonville, MO. Billye Jo was a proud grandmother to Devon Clifford, Elijah Cason (Alexis), Tyler Wagner, Jon Mountain, Mike Thomas (Brittany Schmidt), Trevor Mountain, Chris Thomas, Hudson Wilson, Seth Harris, Alex Harris, Ben Harris, Max Chinderle, Onyx Wilson, and Kiersten Wagner. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Theodore Clifford, Benjamin Clifford, John Thomas, Nex Mountain, Asher Mountain, Kailyn Mountain, Kaisyn Haynie, Jackson Thomas, Kennedy Schmidt, Zarah Shady, Zendaya Shady, and Zelda Harvey.
Billye Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Icyle Roop, as well as her siblings, Dean Harlow, Ted Harlow, Curtis Harlow, Liz Gearling, and Karen Stiles.
Billye Jo's warm heart, creative spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
