Beverely Jean Spencer's Obituary
In loving memory of Beverly Jean Spencer, a kind and gentle soul, who brought warmth and joy into the lives of those around her. On Friday, July 26, 2024, Beverly peacefully passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO, surrounded by her loved ones.
We invite you to join us in a Celebration of Life Service, honoring Beverly's remarkable journey, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 5PM at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 4-5PM, where we can share stories and memories of Beverly's remarkable life.
Beverly was born on December 25, 1948, in Madison, MO, to Albert and Anna Jean Mallory Lorton. She had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures. Beverly had a passion for dirt track racing, immersing herself in the thrill of the sport. She found solace in the pages of books and had a deep appreciation for the melodies of country music. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing, where she would bask in the tranquility of nature.
Beverly's legacy lives on through her two daughters, Karla Walker of Columbia, MO, and Stacy Sampo (Ray) of Franklin, MO. She was a doting grandmother to six grandchildren: Ashlee Chapman-Graves (Angelica), Charly Keithly, Arron Sampo, Dalton Walker, Clay Walker, and Victoria Sampo. Her love extended to her four great-grandchildren: Kadance Taylor, Landon Breshears, Harper Keithly, and Teagan Walker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Chuck Spencer, her grandmother Mamie Mallory, and her brother Darrell Simms. While our hearts ache with the loss of Beverly, may we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with her.
In her kindness, warmth, and love, Beverly touched the lives of many. She will forever be remembered as a beacon of light, and her spirit will continue to guide us through the darkest of times.
