Barbara Gilliam's Obituary
Barbara Gilliam, 53, of Columbia entered into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday October 17, 2012 at the H.T. May and Son Funeral in Columbia. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Callaway Gardens in Fulton, MO.
Barbara Ann Martin Gilliam was born in New Madrid, Mo., in the town of Parma on September 10, 1959. She grew up in Fulton, Mo. Barbara retired from the military after over twenty years of service. She also worked as a LPN at the University of Missouri Medical Center until her illness.
Barbara was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth L. Gilliam on June 13, 1998.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Kenneth, one son Justin Martin of Columbia, her parents Lorene and Robert Martin of Fulton, Mo., three sisters Lovey Wilson of Fulton, Mo., Liz Churchhill of St. Louis, Mo., and Martha Mitchell of Columbia, Mo., four brothers Donald Martin of Jefferson City, Mo., Steven Martin, Willie Martin and Robert Martin Jr., all of Fulton, Mo., several nieces, and nephews and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her special niece Katina Wilson and two sisters Lenora Martin and JoAnn Martin.
