Anthony (Tony) Nathaniel King Sr. was born January 3, 1964 to Edward Gordon and Geraldine (Coats) King-Gordon.
Tony loved to hangout with his family and friends where he enjoyed telling stories to make everyone laugh. During these animated conversations he would inform you to “keep it 100!” which was his favorite saying. Tony’s first job was as a paperboy for the Columbia Missourian Newspaper at seven years old; where he rode his bike downtown. He continued to work for the Missourian as an adult even after they were purchased by the University of Missouri; Tony worked there until his retirement.
Outside of work Tony enjoyed working with his hands. There was nothing he could not fix or build. He never let his physical pain get him down. He made sure to enjoy life to the fullest.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons Anthony King Jr., Alexander King; grandson KaVaughn King, and a special friend Gloria Smith, brothers John (Rasheedah) King, Elias (Kim) King, Edward King and one sister Marilyn King and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Geraldine (Coats) King-Gordon and Edward Gordon, brothers James (Babe) King, Robert (Bobby) King and Richard King.
