Anthony Marcel Belcher (Tone), 50, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Boone Hospital.
Tony was born October 5, 1975, in Columbia, Missouri, the son of Nellie Belcher and Alvis Hord.
Tony was one of a kind. A man whose presence could ever be ignored and whose absence will be felt forever. He lived life on his own terms, filling every room with laughter, music, stories, and unforgettable energy.
Tony was known for his sayings that became part of who he was. Whether he was agreeing wholeheartedly with a grin and an enthusiastic "Absafuckingloutly!", calling someone out as a "dirty ass" or giving his highest stamp of approval by declaring it "platinum level", those words instantly brought a smile to everyone around him. One of his favorite pieces of wisdom was, "It's not about the takeoff, it's about the landing," a phrase that perfectly reflected his outlook on life - enjoy the ride, but always remember what truly matters in the end.
Tony leaves to mourn his death, mother Nellie Belcher of Mexico, Missouri, father Alvis Hord of Glendale, Arizona, two sisters, Kelly (Jacob) Hoover of Mexico, Missouri and Turquoise (Adrian) Lawson of Mexico, Missouri, two brothers, Alex Hord of Denver, Colorado and Ja'Mone Belcher of Mexico, Missouri, three aunts, Robin Flowers, Regina Belcher and Rose Moore, one great aunt Margret Hord, two uncles, Charles Belher and Pearl Belcher, five nephews, two nieces, one great niece and a host of cousins and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents Ann and Euel Belcher, grandma Ann Mae Hord, two aunts Emily and Kathy Belcher, and one uncle Herbert Belcher.
Though Tony's passing was sudden and our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the countless stories, laughs, songs, dances, and memories he leaves behind. Tony lived fully, loved fiercely, and brought a unique light into the lives of so many.
Until we meet again, Tone- Keep the music playing and save a dance for us.
