Anna Odell Cowans' Obituary
Anna Cowans, 73, of Fayette entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Fayette Caring Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday October 26, 2015 at the H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Fayette. The visitation will be from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.

Anna Odell Cowans was born to Charley and Millie (Talbert) Cowans on December 15, 1941 in Fayette, MO.
Anna attended Lincoln School in Fayette, MO. She professed her love for the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder J.A. Teverbaugh. For many years, she was employed in housekeeping at a private home in Rocheport, MO.
To many, she was affectionately known as “Aunt Anna” She loved to listen to Gospel and Country music. She always looked forward to Christmas because she enjoyed wrapping gifts for her daughter, nieces and nephews.
Anna could often be found sitting on her front porch with a huge smile and a big wave for those who passed by. She also enjoyed sitting in the yard, visiting with family and friends. When she wasn’t sitting on her porch; she could often be found across the street at the home of her sister Sara, where they enjoyed a good cup of coffee and engaged in a card game. Anna also spent many wonderful summers at the home of her daughter in New York. Her daughter lovingly refers to her as “My Petunia”.
Leaving to cherish her precious memory, her daughter Letitia Cowans-Mostiller and her son-in-law, Michael L. Mostiller. Three Granddaughters, Chastian Cowans, Sascha and Lalia Mostiller and one grandson, Michael Mostiller, III all of Buffalo, NY.
Anna also leaves to treasure her memory, three sisters, Louella Hines, Decatur, IL, Delores Nelson and Sara Cowans of Fayette, MO and one brother, Jesse Cowans of Columbia, MO. She also leaves to honor her memory a host of nieces, nephews and close family friends. She will also be lovingly remembered by her friends at Fayette Caring Center.
Anna was proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters, Alice Cravens, Millie Robinson and Nellie Jackmon. She also joins her brothers, Jake Cowans, Charlie Cowans and Gilbert Cowans.
