Angela Skrzypczak's Obituary
Angela Kay Skrzypczak (Coulter), 58, of Dresden, passed away on Wednesday, December 27th at her home surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer. She was born on May 23rd, 1965, in Springfield, Missouri; a daughter of Bonnie (Carver) Castle and the late Paul Coulter.
Angela dedicated her life to God as a small child and always enjoyed a close walk with the Lord. She met her lifelong love, Clem Skrzypczak, at bible college in Oklahoma in October of 1982 and they were married in June of 1983. She spent the rest of her life happily by his side.
Angela got her Master’s in Education in May of 1993 from the University of Central Missouri. Of course, with honors. She taught in the Knob Noster School District for 30 years, teaching elementary and high school special education and history and biology courses before she retired last year. She was a natural born teacher and her teaching extended well beyond the classroom, bringing light and knowledge to everyone she met.
She served her church community faithfully for many decades by teaching bible studies and youth ministries and was part of the team of prayer warriors.
Angela was known for her warmth. Many were welcomed around her table and blessed by her delicious homecooked meals. She was curious, fiercely intelligent, enthusiastic, funny and so much fun to talk to. She loved growing flowers, travelling, reading, going to church and spending time with her family at their lake house. She was a lifelong learner with various interests: bible studies, nursing, holistic medicine and a Duolingo streak of 1140 days learning Spanish.
She was genuinely loved by all. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years: Clements Skrzypczak. Her children: Elizabeth Skrzypczak (Avi), David Skrzypczak (Leslie), Lisa Giles (James), Johnathan Skrzypczak (Heather); Siblings: Paul Coulter, Sandra Wunderlich, Joseph Coulter and Colter Theresa Jackson; Grandchildren: Weston Skrzypczak, Nathan Giles, Elaina Giles, Eli Skrzypczak, Lucy Skrzypczak, Gilburt Skrzypczak and Madeline Poonacha.
This was one of her favorite verses.
Psalms 91.2
I will say of the lord, he is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him I will trust.
