Alice Arlene Williams' Obituary
Alice Arlene Williams, 80, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, February 4, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at St. Stephen's Baptist church at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11-12PM on Saturday at the church.
Alice A Williams (Arlena or Arlene) 80, was born December 1, 1942, to the union of Walter and Nellie Miles in Bunceton, Missouri. Both parents, one son, Rickey Williams, one sister, Juanita Williams, two brothers, Robert Miles and Lewis Miles, all preceded her in death.
Alice was educated in the public schools of Bunceton Missouri. She later married Robert Williams Jr on July 6, 1960. To this union 5 children were born, Maylon, Randy, Ronald, Rickey and Ryan. She loved her children unconditionally as they did her.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Her most recent church home was Friendship Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
Alice was a dedicated child provider where she worked in a daycare for many years prior to the employment with the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC). She retired from UMKC as a lead floor supervisor in 2007. She was also a foster parent for many years until retiring from working and focusing on her family.
She is survived by her children, Maylon Williams — Sims (Steven) of Kansas City, Mo, Randy Williams (Tamara) of Columbia, Mo, Ronald Williams (Nioka) of Boonville, Mo, Ryan Williams of Kansas City, Mo, her sister, Leta Elbert (Sherel) of Grandview, Mo, brother Eddie Miles (Denise) of Columbia, Mo, a very dear sister-in-law Luritta Williams of Kansas City, Mo 14 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
