Alfreda Parker's Obituary
Alfreda Parker, 69, of Boonville passed away on Monday June 22, 2015 at Cooper County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 27, 2015 at 2pm at HT May & Son Funeral Home in Boonville. The visitation will be held from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
Alfreda M. Darby Parker was born August 22, 1945 daughter of Joseph and Minnie Darby. She attended school in Boonville and graduated from Boonville High School. She joined Morgan Street Baptist Church at an early age. While in school she worked at Stein House; at the age of 21 she married Parrish Parker Sr., to this union one son Parrish Parker Jr. better known as Ickey Boo was born, Ruth Parker his grandmother gave him that name. Alfreda was a military wife, she lived in many places including Germany, Texas, and other locations. Later on after the death of her husband she moved back to Boonville; she was a hard worker, working at Toastmaster, and Our House for a short time. Later on her son moved back to Boonville, which made Alfreda very happy, he was a good cook also. Alfreda had a heart of gold always giving and giving; she had a beautiful smile when she was happy. She truly loved her son, Nicole, Aiden, Janette, and Anthony Ray who spent a lot of time with her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Parrish S. Parker Jr. of the home, Janet Malochi (Aunt), Nicole (Aiden) Darby, Anthony Ray, Leon Stapleton, two great nieces, three great nephews, a sister in law, host of cousins and friends. Alfreda loved her adopted family, she would say Mrs. Mae my Chicka Dee, they loved each other. Alfreda would check on her everyday. She loved all her family especially her best friend Rhodella; we will miss her until later.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, two brothers, one sister, two uncles, and six aunts.
