For some reason, I never thought I would be writing this message. It is easy to forget that our time is limited here. I will always remember my Uncle Alan, "Uncle Al", as an exceptionally kind and patient man of deep intelligence and honesty.
I have difficulty remembering a single time that he wasn't smiling, laughing, or about to do one or the other. His patience as a father is a point of inspiration for me and I always loved asking him about fishing and biking trips and travel at family gatherings.
I still find work his compelling and he is the reason why I enjoy working with engineers of all kinds so much. Whether he was engineering or teaching, he was always inspiring and serving a greater purpose.
My deepest condolences to my fellow family members: Mom & Aunt Beth, Mandy & Lome, Greg, Corey & Kerry, Peyton, Kendall, John-Emery, and Josie. I love you all and Alan lives inside of us.
