Agnes Lawrence's Obituary
Agnes Lawrence 66, of Slater, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Fitzgibbon Medical Center in Marshall. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshall at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12-1 PM Sunday at the church.
Agnes Virgina Bynum Lawrence was born 04-25-1956 and earned her angel wings on 10-03-2022 at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO.
Agnes was born to Elizabeth F. Bynum Hall and resided in the Marshall area her whole life.
Agnes was a 1974 graduate of Marshall High School and worked for the Marshall Habilitation Center for 32 years, retiring in 2006 as and Education Assistant II.
Agnes was a cherished member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church as well as 35th Street Missionary Baptist Church; where she sang in the Inspirational Choir, served on the usher board and assisted the Sunday School youth.
Agnes performed with the Unity in Faith Choir, performing as a backup singer for Michael Bolton at the 1996 Missouri State Fair.
Agnes was preceded in death by her Mother Elizabeth F. Bynum Hall, an Aunt Janet L. Crutchfield, a son Jacob Matthew Lawrence and her beloved companion of 13 years, Blaze.
Agnes is survived by her two daughters, Alieta S. Bynum of Columbia, MO, Tenisha M. Lawrence (Carlos) who survives of the home, one granddaughter Da'Lynn A. Bynum Phillips,her loving puppy Bella. and many adopted sons and daughters.
