So sorry to hear the about this. Sincere condolences to the family. I hadn't seen Harold in many years but we were classmates in high school. He was always such a great guy and I never saw him in a bad mood. I have a memory of him I'd like to share. We were freshman in high school and Harold was in the school talent show with a group of other guys. They played the song "Fire" by The Ohio Players. Harold played guitar and I remember it being a really cool moment in my youth. Because I have this memory, Harold will stay forever young.

Sincere condolences to the Spruell family for your loss. Harold was a running buddy in high school in Sedalia. We had a mutual attraction to the rock music of the 1970's and attended several concerts together. As teenagers, we all belted out the lead vocal line, but Harold had an ear for music and his soft voice added the needed harmony. We spent many a day after school cruising the country roads around Sedalia, listening to KY-102 or 8 track tapes. We both loved Led Zeppelin.
We recently connected via e-mail and had loose plans to cross paths in the lake area. I am beyond sad that I shall never sing another song with Harold, but I know that he was a good and kind man. I will sleep soundly tonight, knowing that when Harold Maurice Spruell approached the Pearly Gates, they swung wide open and GOD told Harold that he had an immediate opening in Heaven's Choir.
No matter the music, if you turn your head just right and listen closely, you will hear Harold's harmonies.
