LaQueena Robinson, 47, of Boonville, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Boonville. There will be no visitation. LaQueena Shree Robinson, known as Queenie, was the daughter of the late Sandra Garline Robinson and Jessie Whitaker Sr. Queenie was born June 29, 1974, in Boonville, Missouri. On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, she passed away peacefully at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Queenie confessed Christ at an early age and attended Morgan Street Baptist Church in Boonville. Queenie graduated from Boonville High School in 1992. Queenie studied at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. Queenie was employed by Unlimited Opportunities in Boonville, Missouri. Queenie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jessie Shirley, her mother Sandra Robinson and one brother Calvin Whitaker. Queenie is survived by her children: DeVonte T Sanders, DeAndra R Shipley and DeVora J Shipley; her father: Jessie Whitaker Sr.; five sisters: Jackie (Vann) Patterson, Beverly Sue Covington, Loistine Gully, Michelle (Lee) Armstrong and Marchelle Armstrong; four brothers: Arther (Barbara) Jones, Jessie (Helane) Whitaker Jr., Henry Whitaker, and Calvin Whitaker (deceased); her aunts: Barbara (Paul) McCurry, Georgie M Chester, Nettie M White, Amie Edmond (deceased), Lois Whitaker (deceased), Virginia Whitaker (deceased), Carla Whitaker, Ruby Brown and Arlene (Adolphus) Alexander; her uncles: James (Velma) Pearson, Thomas Elbert, Author Whitaker (deceased), LeRoy Whitaker (deceased), James Whitaker (deceased), Lionel Pearson, Charles Pearson, Samuel Whitaker, William Whitaker, Ernest Whitaker and Lilburn Shipley; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends. Special thanks to Queenie’s aunt, Barbara McCurry who spoke with the doctors and healthcare professional attending to Queenie's care. She shared the information daily with the family. One special cousin, Angela Williams who worked tirelessly during Queenie’s illness. Third honorable mention is to Uncle James (Velma) Pearson who poured into Queenie’s life in so many ways during her life's journey.
