Davina Day Rowe, 50, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at her home. Friends will be received from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 17th at St. Luke United Methodist Church, Columbia, MO where the Home Going Celebration will follow at 4:00 pm. Davina was born May 30,1971 in Columbia, MO, the daughter of David and Almeta Moore. She attended Hickman High School and graduated from Columbia College with an associate degree in Social Services. She worked as a bus driver for STA Bus services, transporting students and doing many charters for sports teams, and other events out of town. Davina joined the Christ Apostolic Church at the early age of 14 and served under the late Bishop Dwight Reed and Pastor Mildred Brown. She was an outreach worker with various duties. She traveled to Africa on a missionary trip, as well as being a pastor and ministering in Moberly, MO for several years. She then returned to Columbia, MO, continuing God’s work. In the church she partakes as being the Baptism Director, Women Director, a prayer warrior, and even a Sunday School teacher. Davina was a true pillar of the church, even being diligent in winning new souls for the Lord. Davina had plans to open-up her own bakery called “Davine Sweets”, to continue her love of baked goods outside of the church bake sales. Some fan favorites of her sweets included, her famous banana bread, peanut butter cookies, and sweet potato pie just too name a few. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Adam Rowe Sr., her mother Almeta Moore, two children Adam Rowe Jr., and Dayshanay Rowe. Three sisters Voronica Bonaparte, (Columbia) Rosetta Bonaparte, (Chicago, IL) and Norita Bonaparte-Parker, (St. Louis, MO). Eight nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles. Davina was a beautiful Saint and Soldier of the Lord. She always talked about going to Heaven and riding that white horse. Her joyful attitude about Heaven, will live in her as we know it, and even will live through everyone she loved so we can see her again. She always preached on being ready for when the time God calls us home. Davina is a true testament of that. She was preceded in death by her father David Moore.
