Arthur Brown

Arthur Eugene Brown, 82, passed away on November 25 at Fitzgibbon hospital in Marshall, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Arthur Brown and Sadie Pearson Brown, and his sister, Thelma Stephenson. At an early age, Arthur accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He served as a trustee and was a choir member at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshall, Missouri for many years. He worked at the Marshall Habilitation Center and retired after 42 years of service. He did not slow down after retirement. He enjoyed tropical vacations, cruises with his family and riding jet skis with his grandchildren. In his early years he had a passion for motorcycle riding. He loved a clean, shiny car, old cowboy movies, and he convinced his grandchildren and children that he could fix anything broken. They fondly referred to him as “Mr. Fix It.” To cherish his memory he leaves his loving wife Mary Brown, his daughter, Marla (Dr. Donald), his son Michael and the grandchildren he adored, Michelle, Brandon and Deyton, and his furry grand dogs named Halle, Karma and Issy. He also leaves his brother, Delroy (Candy) along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arthur will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, a strong, proud, good man and a US Navy veteran. He is loved and will be missed by many. Arrangements Memorial services will be held at a later date in 2021.
