Andre Douglass McKinnon, 26, of Springfield, MO, formerly of Columbia, MO went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 16th, 2020. A celebration of Life for Andre D. McKinnon will be held Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at Rock Bridge Church of God Holiness 3515 Valencia Drive Columbia, MO. This will be a picture memorial service. The visitation will be held 2p-3p, with the memorial service to follow. He was born in Columbia, MO on October 24, 1993 to Trumaine Westbrook and Angel (McKinnon) Key. Andre graduated from Rockbridge High School. He attended Fullerton College in Fullerton, California and graduated from Ft Hays State University in Ft Hays, KS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies. Andre started playing football at Fulton Middle School, in Fulton, MO. He played many defensive positions, while attending Fullerton College and Ft Hays State University. He was playing semi-pro football with Queen City Insane Asylum out of Springfield, MO. His dream was to play for the St Louis Rams. Andre is survived by his mother Angel(McKinnon)Key, Columbia, MO; father, Trumaine Westbrook, Marianna, AR; son, Xavier McKinnon, Springfield, MO; Brothers, Jordan Cannon, Wichita, KS; William McKinnon, Columbia, MO; Nathan Weaver and Hayden Weaver, Blue Springs, MO and Hoss Westbrook, Marianna, AK; Sisters, Adrianne Briggs, Vanessa McKinnon, Victoria McKinnon and Alexandria O’Neal all of Columbia, MO; Grandmother, Jearlean (Jerry) Westbrook, Columbia, MO. Also a niece Dior Gleason of Columbia MO. Andre was preceded in death by his wife, Krista McKinnon and great-grandmother, LaVenia Huffstetler.
