Alice Crews

Alice Irene Crews, 67 of Columbia, MO Passed away April 8, 2022. She was Born January 6, 1955, in Columbia, Missouri to Mr. Russell Lee and Mrs. Alice Mae (Scott) Crews. She was preceded in death by both parents Russell and Alice Crews; brothers Roy Abbey and Allen Lee Crews; sister Thieland Abbigail Crews, and Regina Lorraine Crews; niece Amanda Lee Crews and nephews Christophers Crews and “little” Tim Wright. She is survived by her daughters Shelia Ricker of Columbia, Missouri and Selissa Ricker of Lee Summit, Missouri and two sons Carlos Lee of Kansas City, Missouri and Brandon Lee of Columbia, Mo. One granddaughter Da’Anara Crews and three Grandsons D’Andres Cave, D’Antrae Crews, and Myles Wilson, one sister Kathryn (Kathy) Crews of Columbia, MO. two brothers Russell T. Crews of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Tim Wright of Columbia, MO. Nieces: Stephanie Marie (Selette) and Shianne; nephews: Scottie, Russell Jr, Patrick, D’Angelo, DeMarco, Austin, Devanta. and great nephews D. L. Kristopher, Cordell and Jamari of Columbia, MO. Alice graduated from Monroe City High School in 1973. Went to Secretarial school in Columbia, MO. Shortly after, started working for University of Missouri where she enjoyed working and would have been celebrating her 40th Anniversary of employment at the University of Missouri Campus Dining Service where she held the position of Secretary for all those years. Alice like many in her family had a very strong work ethic. Alice also loved traveling with her family. Alice and her family were able to go to many places throughout the United States as well as other countries. Alice spoke often about her travels and what she learned while traveling. Regina was quoted to say she had so many fond memories of the GREAT times she had on vacation. She also loved to laugh and have a good time with friends and family. Alice said, life was way too short to not have fun and show her kids and grandkids that money doesn't buy happiness. Alice said a mother's love is what my kids would remember and she's right. She was like a mom to many people. Her love is what will stay with them forever. Alice will truly be missed by her family, friends, and coworkers but, She Will Not Be Forgotten. Services will be at the St Luke United Methodist Church 204 Ash St. Columbia, MO. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2022. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm. Repass will be held at the ARC - Activity & Recreation Center 1701 W. Ash St, Columbia, MO 65203 4 pm until 5 pm
