Ahmonta Harris, 26, of Columbia, passed away in Columbia on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Christian Fellowship Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11AM-1PM Saturday at the church. Ahmonta Harris was a positive force in the community. He was part of the stop the violence committee and many other organizations in the community. Ahmonta loved his family and friends and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was known for fixing things around the house and for everyone. Ahmonta loved his son Deuce and longtime girlfriend of 11 Years. Ahmonta left his mark on everyone he encountered. Ahmonta created the “Ahmonta Harris” scholarship for $500 for minority students who held a specific grade point average. Ahmonta was all about giving back to his community and created a kickball tournament that was held in Douglas Park in Columbia, Missouri. Ahmonta was well loved and respected in the community and he will be missed by friends,family and the community. Honorary Sister LaMya Thomas of San Diego, California. Honorary Brother Eric Franklin of Phoenix, Az and Grandmother Ophelia Harris. Also Survived by his Special Family: Wanda Goldman, Shelly Brown, Willie “Junior” Harris, Nathan Ferguson, Tom Ferguson, Rodney Woods , Brian Cook, Frankie Harris, Kenneth Harris-Jones, Cortez Turner, Radiance Harris-Brown, Tavon Harris, Shonna Edwards-Wallace, Tonicka Johnson-Anderson, Selena Johnson & MOBB brothers of Columbia Mo. Claude Hyler of Kansas City, Mo, Pamela Harris-Robinson of Chicago, IL & A Host of Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: James Mahaney, Becky Harris, Leroy Harris, Earlene Glenn, and Albert A.Wilborn. His Brother Jeffrey Harris, His Honorary Brothers Tevin Nelson, and Jamar Hicks.
