John W. Turner, 65, of Columbia died Wednesday at his home. John was born on February 18, 1948 in BooneCounty, the son of James and Margie Lewis Turner. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Friends Read Obituary
Dear Family,
I was so saddened to hear of the passing of John Wayne “Tit” Turner. I have nothing but the fondest memories of him. My thoughts and prayers are going out to Bonnie, Kim and Kathy in the loss of their beloved dad. You are blessed to have shared such a close bond with your Dad and with each other. I absolutely love, love, love the fact that Tit and Rosie remained so close. That is a true testament to both. Take care of each other.
My favourite cousin, John Wayne “Tit” Turner:
I am sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye, or make it to your home-going celebration. Your were always down to earth, loyal, protective of me and other family members. I never had and never will forget you. And you had the best looking cowboy boots in town. I last saw you on June 29 of this year. And even then, in your condition, you paid me and my wife the highest complement. You had a positive outlook too on your future. Full of life to the end. I loved you.
Rest in peace, cuz. You deserve it.

John was such a special caring man. He always brought a big smile to my dad’s fave when they visited. I thank him for all the lives he touched. The world is a better place because of him. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Sending out words of encouragements to those that are still here..I asked God to help me with the great losses we have had in the pass and he did!!!….even tho the pain is still great we will not ever forget our loved ones that have left before us ……we must remember that even though we do not understand the love we have for them is far greater than the loss of the being depparted……We will see them again and will find them waiting on us with open arms and no more afflictions.
