I loved Fran, who was a model of warmth, intelligence, strength and wisdom. A special memory is of an afternoon when Fran and I visited the gravesite of our mutual friend Bernice Cudd. She and I sat on the grass and reflected on our memories of Bernice, another dear woman who is missed.
