I was a shipmate of Chris's onboard the USS Bryce Canyon from 1977 - 1981. I was telling a co-worker a story about him and she said I should Google him. I did and found this obituary. Although we haven't had any contact since I got it of the navy in 1981, I am saddened. I have a great photo of the two of us I would like to share and a few stories, but I'm not sure how?
Chris always called me a gentleman and a scholar. He was that and more.

My 1st cousin Chris Sherrod I hope your enjoying the heavens. We didn't get the opportunity engage as young cousins yet when we're old enough to embrace as family we began so many great conversations. I will miss conversing with you.
